Ticket Sales & Refunds
100% refund if an event is cancelled or postponed. Cancellations must be requested at least 24 hours prior to event start.
Anti-Scalping Policy
Tickets may not be resold above original face value. Tickets found resold unlawfully will be voided at the venue gate.
Voting & Poll Integrity
1 vote per verified user per category in free events. Once cast, votes are immediately permanent and cannot be refunded.
MoMo & Card Payments
Charges in Ghana Cedis (GHS) via Paystack. Platform fees up to 5% are non-refundable except in organiser cancellations.
1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility
By accessing or using the Showvaana website, mobile applications, ticketing APIs, live streaming players, or voting modules (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and any supplemental guidelines posted across the platform.
You must be at least 13 years of age to register an account. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that your legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
By purchasing tickets or voting, you confirm that all information provided is accurate, current, and complete. Showvaana reserves the right to terminate accounts registered with false identification.
2. User Accounts & Security
When creating a Showvaana account, you are assigned a personal profile tied to your email and verified Ghanaian mobile phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
You agree not to share your password or two-factor authentication OTP codes with any third party.
If you suspect unauthorized access or compromise of your account, email us immediately at security@showvaana.com.
3. Tickets, Venue Entry & Refunds
Showvaana acts as the primary ticketing and discovery platform on behalf of event organizers. When you purchase a ticket, you receive a revocable entry license governed by the rules below:
- Event Postponed or Cancelled: If an event is cancelled or indefinitely postponed by the organiser, you are entitled to a 100% refund of the ticket face value, processed to your original MoMo or card within 5–10 business days.
- 24-Hour Policy Window: Voluntary refund requests cannot be processed within 24 hours of scheduled event kickoff.
- Platform Credits: Showvaana may, at its sole discretion, issue platform wallet credits for eligible early cancellations.
- Single-Scan QR Code: Each ticket QR code is valid for exactly one entry scan. Duplicate copies or forwarded screenshots will be rejected at the gate.
- Ticket Transfers: You can transfer tickets to another user via the Showvaana app. Once claimed by the recipient, transfers cannot be cancelled or reversed.
- Anti-Scalping Rule: Reselling tickets above face value is strictly prohibited. Scalped tickets may be cancelled with zero refund.
4. Payments, MoMo & Wallet Terms
All ticket prices and vote pack charges on Showvaana are denominated in Ghana Cedis (GHS) unless explicitly stated otherwise.
We accept MTN Mobile Money, Telecel Cash, AirtelTigo Money, Visa, and Mastercard. All transactions are securely routed through Paystack. Showvaana never stores your bank card verification values (CVV) or mobile money PINs.
A platform service fee of up to 5% may be included or itemized at checkout to cover SMS notifications, payment gateway processing, and infrastructure. Platform service fees are non-refundable except in cases of event cancellation.
5. Live Streaming & Digital Broadcasts
When purchasing access to a pay-per-view live stream, Showvaana grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable digital license to view the broadcast for personal, non-commercial enjoyment.
We recommend a stable internet speed of at least 5 Mbps over 4G/LTE or WiFi for HD playback. Showvaana is not responsible for buffering caused by local telco congestion.
If enabled by the event organizer, on-demand video replays remain accessible under your account for up to 72 hours following the live conclusion.
6. Voting Rules & Contestant Integrity
Showvaana powers public voting for major awards, pageants, and music competitions across Ghana (e.g. VGMA, Miss Universe Ghana). To preserve fair play:
- Votes Are Final: All votes cast are recorded immediately in the cryptographic tally database and cannot be modified, reversed, or refunded.
- Vote Limits & Paid Packs: Each verified user may vote once per category in free events. For events with paid multi-vote packages, votes are validated upon successful payment verification.
- Anti-Bot & Disqualification: Any attempt to submit votes using emulators, bots, automated scripts, or fraudulent payment numbers will result in automated disqualification of the votes and forfeiture of funds.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities while using the Service:
- Using automated bots, crawlers, or scrapers to extract event listings, ticket prices, or artist information.
- Purchasing tickets with stolen mobile money accounts or credit cards, or engaging in fraudulent chargebacks.
- Transmitting offensive, defamatory, racist, or abusive messages in public live stream chat rooms.
- Circumventing platform purchase limits by creating multiple dummy accounts.
Showvaana reserves the right to suspend or permanently deactivate accounts violating these provisions without prior notice.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, Showvaana shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to or inability to use the platform.
Showvaana is not responsible for the artistic quality, lineup alterations, audio quality, venue security, or physical safety at events produced by third-party organizers. Our total aggregate liability for any claim under these terms is strictly capped at the total amount you paid to Showvaana in the twelve (12) months preceding the incident.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Republic of Ghana, without regard to conflict of law principles.
10. Modifications & Contact Information
Showvaana reserves the right to modify or update these Terms of Service at any time. When material changes are made, we will notify registered users via email or prominent banner notifications at least fourteen (14) days prior to the effective date.
